Spring:

Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival—Explore Japanese culture with this beautiful spring festival, which features tea ceremony demonstrations, artwork, taiko drums, plenty of flowers, and delicious Japanese food.

Irish Festival—Celebrate Irish culture with music, dancing, and films. Visitors can take Irish language workshops, explore cultural exhibits, and browse booths selling authentic Irish and Celtic products.

Northwest Folklife Festival—Spring is a time of cultural exploration and celebration in Seattle. The Northwest Folklife Festival offers free admission to dozens of musical and dance performances, workshops, exhibits, and cooking demonstrations.

Other spring events include the Seattle Roadster Show, the Seattle International Film Festival, and the Seattle International Children's Festival.


Summer

Seafair—Of the many Seattle festivals, Seafair lasts the longest, stretching from late June through August in a fun summer celebration. With the Ballard Seafood Fest, Torchlight Parade, hydroplane race, air show featuring the Blue Angels, and much more, Seafair offers visitors a grand time all summer long.

Bite of Seattle—Taste the best of Seattle in mid-July with this fun food festival. Bite of Seattle hosts wine tastings, eating competitions, and even comedy shows.

Bumbershoot—One of the biggest Seattle downtown events, Bumbershoot brings together the best artists in music, film, comedy, dance, theatre, and other arts over Labor Day weekend. It has grown since 1971 into the largest urban arts festival in North America.

PAX—One of Seattle's most unique events, the Penny Arcade Expo celebrates gaming culture with concerts, exhibitions from major game developers, panel discussions on industry topics, gaming tournaments, and much more.

More summer events include BrasilFest, the Seattle International BeerFest, and a French celebration of Bastille Day.


Fall

Italian Festival—In late September, Seattle visitors can experience and enjoy Italian culture with special foods, crafts, films, a bocce ball tournament, and puppet theatre. One highlight visitors will love is the grape-stomping contest.

Dia de Muertos—Celebrate the Day of the Dead at the Seattle Center in late October. This Mexican festival features sugar skulls, painting, food, music, dance, and more.

Winter

Winterfest—Get into the winter spirit with the merriest of Seattle downtown events. Winterfest starts in late November and lasts through New Year's Eve. Featuring ice skating, ice sculpting, movies, comedy, and plenty of music, Winterfest is free and perfect for families.

Northwest Flower & Garden Show—Escape the chill of winter with the largest garden show west of Philadelphia. Featuring display and landscape gardens, seminars, and a butterfly house, this grand February event is a must-see.

Other winter events include the Seattle Boat Show, Seattle Home Show, and the Tết Festival's celebration of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.
